Spring To-Do’s in Atlanta: The Short List
The Atlanta Fair — Through April 12
Georgia's only urban fair, set up near the old Turner Field site. Rides, funnel cakes, live entertainment; old-school fun in the middle of the city. Weekends only, so plan accordingly.
The Masters — April 9–12 (Augusta National, ~1.5 hrs from Atlanta)
One of the most iconic sporting events in the world, and close enough to pair with an Atlanta stay. Whether you're badge-holding or just catching the energy at a local sports bar, Masters week has a way of lifting the whole region's mood.
Atlanta Dogwood Festival — April 11–13, Piedmont Park
One of Atlanta's longest-running spring traditions — 85+ years. A juried fine arts festival, live music, and food vendors, all set among Piedmont Park's blooming dogwood trees. Free admission. Hard to beat on a sunny Saturday.
Sweetwater 420 Fest — April 17–20, Centennial Olympic Park
Four days of live music, comedy, local vendors, and craft beer — anchored by one of Atlanta's most beloved hometown breweries. Past headliners have drawn tens of thousands. Earth Day weekend done right.
Earth Day Atlanta — April 22, Various Locations
Community cleanups, outdoor events, neighborhood activations along the BeltLine, and programming at Piedmont Park. Low-key, feel-good, very Atlanta.
Inman Park Festival — April 25–27, Inman Park
One of Atlanta's most beloved neighborhood festivals — a juried arts market, vintage shopping, a parade, food and drinks, and live music spilling out of every corner of one of the city's prettiest streets. Free and very worth it.
Atlanta Braves Home Stands — All Month, Truist Park
The Braves are home for multiple series in April. The Battery has evolved into one of the best pre- and post-game scenes in baseball — great restaurants, good energy, worth going even if you're not a die-hard fan.
10 SPOTS WORTH KNOWING ABOUT RIGHT NOW
1. Lazy Betty — Reynoldstown
One of Atlanta's best tasting menus, period. Chef Ron Hsu's multi-course format is elegant without being precious — playful wine pairings, genuinely exciting cooking, and a room that feels special without trying too hard. Worth the reservation.
2. Talat Market — Summerhill
Chef Parnass Savang's Thai-American restaurant has a devoted following for good reason. The menu shifts constantly — the grilled pork jowl and smoked fish khao yum are standouts when they're on. No two visits feel the same.
3. Muchacho — Edgewood
Breakfast tacos, good coffee, and one of the better morning vibes in the city. The chorizo and egg taco alone is worth the detour. A natural first stop before hitting the BeltLine or exploring Inman Park.
4. Arabia Mountain — Southeast Atlanta / Stonecrest
This one is April-specific. The yellow diamorpha blooms cover the granite flatrocks for a few weeks in spring and nowhere else on earth looks quite like it. A 45-minute drive from most of our properties and genuinely worth it.
5. Staplehouse — Old Fourth Ward
Been around long enough to feel like a classic, still cooking at a high level. The ever-changing menu supports the Giving Kitchen, which funds emergency assistance for hospitality workers. Good food, good reason to go.
6. Monday Night Garage — West End
Monday Night Brewing's underground taproom in the West End is one of the better beer spots in the city — rotating taps, a great food truck rotation, and a crowd that's neighborhood-first. Easy to spend an afternoon here.
7. MF Bar — Midtown
A small, low-key natural wine bar that punches well above its square footage. The list rotates constantly and the staff actually know it. Good snacks, good pour sizes, good place to land after dinner.
8. Spiller Park Coffee — Ponce City Market / Decatur
One of the city's most respected roasters, with a following built on consistency and craft. The PCM location puts you steps from the BeltLine; the Decatur spot is quieter and worth the detour. Either way, the coffee is excellent.
9. Delbar — Buckhead
Persian food done with real intention! Saffron-braised lamb, house-made flatbread, and a warm room that makes the meal feel like an occasion. Underrated on most Atlanta dining lists. Deserves more attention.
10. Sweetwater Creek State Park — Lithia Springs, ~30 min west
If the weather is good (and in April it usually is) this is the move. Red clay trails, waterfall ruins from an 1800s textile mill, and actual quiet. A great half-day reset from the city.
The World Cup: Two Months Out
It's real now. The FIFA World Cup kicks off June 15 in Atlanta, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host eight matches — five group stage games, a Round of 16, and a semifinal — running through July 15.
Spain, Morocco, South Africa, and more will play right here. If you're planning a summer trip around the tournament, availability during match weeks is getting thin. Our homes in Old Fourth Ward, Inman Park, Grant Park, Reynoldstown, and Cabbagetown put you in the city's energy while keeping you rooted in the neighborhoods that make Atlanta feel like Atlanta.
